Cable Conundrum [Editor]:

  • This version of the game is a simple level editor that allows you to make levels

  • If you've come up with a good level, please send me a picture of the level on Discord or post a comment on this page

  • Unfortunately, you cannot resize the game window without it breaking

  • Below are the controls and the rules for the game

Controls:

  • TLDR: Left-ClickDragGPO, and I do stuff

  • Left-click and drag to move plugs

  • Press G to toggle the joint grid

  • Press P to toggle the selector menu, where you can then click and drag items into the game

  • Press O to toggle obstacle modification Once you see the obstacles having a lower opacity, you can click and drag to change them

  • Press I to toggle electrical outlet modification Once you see the electrical grid having a lower opacity, you can: Drag Right and Up to make the outlet bigger Drag Left and Down to make the outlet smaller You can also click on the sockets to enable or disable them

  • Press D while dragging a plug to delete it  For obstacles, you must first press O to turn on obstacle modification before you can delete them

Rules:

  • The player must fit every electrical plug into sockets on a power strip

 →→

  • If you press the power switch and it turns green, you have solved the puzzle

  • If it stays grey, then you have not completed the level yet (refer to the rules)

  • Plugs may also come in different shapes and sizes

 etc.

  • Obstacles can block parts of the screen and make the puzzle harder

These dark grey plugs cannot be moved or turned, acting as obstacles

A table that blocks the left and top sides

  • Electrical Cable rules:

    • Cables will block sockets if they are over the sockets

 →→

  • Cables cannot overlap

 →→

  • Cables can be rotated (but only 90-degree rotations at each joint)

  • Cables have specific joint locations, equal to ½ the size of a socket circle plus ½ the distance between each circle

The red dots represent joints, and rotation is only possible at those joints

  • Because of the joints, cables have limited options out of the power strip

The arrows show some options that the cables have of not overlapping other cables. The grey arrows are possible outlets, but they will probably block other sockets
